To the Administrator Addressed (TAA) Correspondence
The purpose of this communication is to inform school systems that the preliminary longitudinal cohort reports have been updated to reflect 2025-26 data and are now available on the Research & Analysis tab in the Accountability application. Individual student information is confidential under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). These reports are confidential and are intended for school system use only.
The agency builds the high school longitudinal rates used for accountability, monitoring, and reporting purposes from student-level cohort groups based on a student's first-time ninth grade year. The preliminary cohort lists are provided for information and planning purposes only. No action is required, but school systems are advised to use the lists to help determine a student鈥檚 expected graduation year for planning, agency reporting, and accountability purposes. The preliminary cohort lists only provide cohort membership information, as well as selected demographic and program participation information. Final student statuses are not provided.
黑料网最新入口 recommends all school systems review the preliminary longitudinal cohort lists for information and planning purposes. The lists provide the graduation cohort each student was assigned to based on the student鈥檚 first-time ninth grade year.
Please ensure your high school principals, PEIMS coordinators, and other relevant staff are aware of the information in this communication.
For additional information on how longitudinal graduation, completion, and dropout rates are calculated, please see Completion, Graduation, and Dropout Technical Documentation.
For questions related to the preliminary cohort reports, please contact the Research & Analysis division at Research@tea.texas.gov.
